Starting today and throughout the entire month of November, I will be updating this blog daily in conjunction with Diabetes Awareness Month (November) and World Diabetes Day (November 14th).
Each day, I will post something different about diabetes. I’ll start out with some more factual information about diabetes, and will eventually talk more specifically about my unique experiences with having diabetes for 17 years.
I’m doing this to try to raise awareness about diabetes, at least among those within my realm of influence. Keep in mind that I’m not a medical doctor, and I don’t have a degree in biology, anatomy, physiology or any of that stuff. I’m just a Person with Diabetes (PWD) who wants to share my experience in hopes that it will inspire other people to speak out about this cause!
So, what can you do to help?
· Keep checking back here daily during the month of November and spread the word to other people you know about this blog.
· Feel free to put a link to this on your facebook, twitter, web-page, or wherever.
· Also, feel free to post comments or ask questions*. I will be moderating the comments, because that’s my prerogative, but if they’re not too scandalous or irresponsible, I’ll probably post it.
· Put a link on your blog or website with the World Diabetes Day logo! (Remember, November 14th!!) You can do that here!
Well, that’s about it! Please come back daily for the next month, and enjoy! I can’t wait to share my experiences with you!
*While I will do my best to answer basic diabetes questions, or any questions you may have about my personal experiences with diabetes, I will NOT be giving medical advice, as I am definitely not qualified to do so. Please see the medical disclaimer that is posted at the top of the blog. Thanks!
I'll be following along! Go Erin!
